Executive Summary
In response to a demand for more consumer facing assets to promote the mission of Textile Exchange, the following is a proposal for a member funded Organic Cotton video.
Textile Exchange is working with a creative agency, G. Kennedy Creative, to produce a direct to consumer video promoting the attributes of Organic Cotton. This project aims to provide the sustainable textile community an educational and engaging asset that members can use in telling their organic cotton story with expertise coming from the leading expert non-profit, Textile Exchange.

Video Pitch - Build an emotional connection of organic cotton to the consumer
The video should – Explain to the audience what is organic fiber and Inspire people to want to seek out organic cotton.
In this unconventional short film (2-3 min.), the story of cotton is told by an organic cotton farmer, an advocate and a character-driven visual representation of cotton in our everyday lives. An interview with the farmer and a comprehensive tour of his operation will illustrate the agricultural aspect of cotton and the benefits of growing it organically, while offering a closer look at the human element of cotton. The advocate (i.e. TE staff person) outlines the connection between organic cotton and the consumer, while further explaining the social and cultural impact of the importance of organic cotton. These two voices will set the stage for a series of scenes in which an upbeat, fresh-faced actor uses a particular product made of organic cotton.
The narrative of the video is a visual depiction of how cotton is used on our daily lives through various actors, scenes from a day and quick cuts. Visual story telling is the core theme here, building that emotional and symmetrical connection between the user and the farm.
